In 2009, Alan Co-Founded the Venti Brand Consulting Group, and then PivotPoint Innovation in 2012. Both were designed to work with the Pittsburgh based, 501(3)(b) incubators focused on start-ups coming out of the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. Their early work was specifically with the Idea Foundry, then expanded to Innovation Works.
